Cassina LC2 Armchair – Floral Upholstery

Iconic LC2 armchair by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand for Cassina, featuring its characteristic exposed tubular chrome frame and architectural proportions.

This particular example stands out through its beautiful floral upholstery, giving the strict modernist design a much softer and more eclectic character. The upholstery was most likely renewed by a previous owner; according to its history, the original upholstery featured a very similar floral pattern.

The foam has been completely renewed, making the armchair comfortable and ready for use.

Overall in good vintage condition, with signs of age and use consistent with its history. There are some small areas of surface rust on the chrome frame. The fabric has a tear on the underside of the chair, which is not visible when the armchair is in use. Please refer to the photographs for further details.

A distinctive and unusual version of one of the most iconic designs of the 20th century, combining classic Italian modernism with an unexpected floral character.
